Some strategic decisions mean far more than a simple investment — they mark a clear commitment to the future direction of a company. Today, BSLBATT is proud to announce the completion of a major automation upgrade to its battery production line, introducing a six-axis robotic system that works in coordination to handle everything from cell transfer and module assembly to finished-product output, achieving a fully unmanned production workflow.
This is more than an equipment update — it's another concrete step in BSLBATT's long-standing philosophy of "quality driven by technology." By keeping critical manufacturing processes firmly in-house, BSLBATT is able to deliver more stable, efficient, and consistent battery solutions to customers around the world.
In traditional battery module production, cell handling, stacking, and positioning have typically relied on manual labor. This approach comes with several inherent limitations:
Inconsistency: Manual handling and stacking make it difficult to guarantee identical grip force, angle, and placement position with every cycle, and prolonged operation introduces fatigue-related precision drift;
Throughput bottlenecks: Manual cycle times are limited by an operator's stamina and skill level, making it hard to support high-volume production or rapid switching between multiple product specifications;
Safety risks: High-capacity cells carry considerable weight, and repetitive, high-frequency manual handling poses occupational health risks — particularly on lines running multiple product types at high cycle rates.
As cell energy density continues to rise and structural designs become more compact, the demands on assembly precision keep climbing accordingly. This is precisely why BSLBATT made the decision to introduce a robotic automation system.

Deploying six-axis robots for cell handling and module assembly brings three critical advantages to BSLBATT:
Higher repeatable positioning accuracy: The path, force, and placement position for every cell pickup are precisely controlled by program logic, eliminating human error between batches;
Stronger vibration resistance and reliability: Precise module stacking and structural fixation significantly improve the structural stability of battery packs under vibration conditions found in vehicles and industrial equipment;
Lower overall cost and higher output: Robots can run continuously around the clock, dramatically shortening the production cycle time per module while reducing labor costs and defect rates.
BSLBATT has spent years focused on customized lithium battery solutions, consistently working closely with customers from needs analysis and structural design through to mass production delivery. This newly upgraded automated line is an extension of that partnership philosophy — through continued investment in technology, BSLBATT further strengthens its ability to support every step of a customer's electrification transition.
For years, BSLBATT has made it a priority to keep key technical capabilities in-house — from independent development of the Battery Management System (BMS), to structural and electrical design, prototyping, mass-production processes, certification testing, and after-sales support, every step is handled by BSLBATT's own team. The launch of this robotic production line further brings module assembly — a critical process step — fully into BSLBATT's self-controlled production system. Apart from the cells themselves, which are sourced from leading global suppliers, BSLBATT now has end-to-end control over the entire process, from design through to finished product.
The new line supports rapid switching between multiple module specifications. Through refined tooling design and programmable control, the line can switch from one product configuration to another in a very short time, fully meeting customers' diverse and customized battery requirements — without the need to build separate lines for each product type.
For a lithium battery manufacturer like BSLBATT, focused on power batteries for industrial and commercial vehicles, keeping module assembly in-house means being able to work directly with leading global cell suppliers and maintain multiple qualified supplier options for each cell type. This model significantly strengthens supply chain resilience and improves BSLBATT's negotiating position on the procurement side — a particularly important advantage amid ongoing global supply chain volatility.

BSLBATT's newly upgraded automated line represents the current state of the art in battery manufacturing. The process covers four key stages, ensuring the highest standards of both quality and efficiency in the finished product:
The first step on the line is automated cell loading. Once cells arrive, an optical inspection system and sensors automatically check key parameters such as appearance, voltage, and internal resistance, ensuring only qualified cells move on to the next stage.
A six-axis robot picks up the qualified cells and, following pre-programmed instructions, places separators between cells and stacks them in sequence to form the target module structure. An aluminum structural frame is then added to prepare for subsequent fixation.
After cell stacking and structural fixation are complete, the system automatically installs bus bars and other connecting components to complete the series/parallel connections between cells, ensuring every connection point delivers low contact resistance and high mechanical strength.
Once module assembly is complete, the line performs comprehensive functional verification testing on every module, along with safety tests covering sealing integrity, insulation resistance, and short-circuit protection. Only modules that pass every test are labeled and released to move on to battery pack assembly.
This automated line upgrade marks another solid step forward for BSLBATT. Built around the principles of in-house control, flexible production, and consistent high quality, the new line further strengthens BSLBATT's ability to respond quickly to market demand — delivering more customized, efficient, and reliable power battery solutions to customers across forklifts, AGVs, energy storage, and specialty vehicle applications.
